A house has been turned into a glittering McDonald’s Happy Meal box for Christmas.
The home is situated on a road dubbed the “Most Beautiful Street in the Netherlands.”
In 2020, at the height of COVID-19, the area was turned into an entire Christmas Village.

The residential road Bazuinstraat in the town of Arkel, located south of Amsterdam, has become famous for its lavish Christmas decorations every year.
A year later, Bazuinstraat was voted the Most Beautiful Street in the country at Christmastime.
It didn’t go unnoticed by marketing execs at McDonald’s who wanted to take advantage of the festive phenomenon.
They offered residents the opportunity to turn a house into a giant flashing Happy Meal.
Homeowner Daiël Serreli jumped at the chance.

While his neighbours followed a Disney theme for this year’s decorations, the 45-year-old’s home was turned into a children’s meal deal.
Residents had been meeting to discuss this year’s lights as far back as August, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Jessie Franken, 35, joked: “We were already in the Christmas spirit when the sparrows were still falling off the roof.”

She said her family chose Beauty and the Beast while their neighbours opted for Aladdin.
Two houses down, there’s a life-size Mickey Mouse, and on the corner, his girlfriend, Minnie.
But Daiël’s Happy Meal box sticks out like a sore thumb among the Disney characters.
He doesn’t mind, thou, as he apparently has the perfect excuse.
“All these Disney characters have featured on Happy Meals before,” he stated.
Daiël explained how his house became a glittering advert for the fast-food giants.
“There was a man walking down the street taking pictures of the houses.
“Out of curiosity and a little bit of suspicion, neighbours asked what he was doing.
“It turned out to be someone from an advertising agency.
“McDonald’s wanted to convert one of the houses into a Happy Meal, and we were interested.
“Isn’t it gold?”
He added: “I do want to emphasise that McDonald’s is piggybacking on the success of Bazuinstraat, not the other way around.”
Neighbour Siegfried Baums, 79, said it all started with “a few lights on the roof” and quickly grew into a tourist attraction.
He said, “It’s the moment we all look forward to each year.
“Winters are always bad here, and everyone stays indoors.
“But at Christmas, everything in the neighbourhood comes alive.”
