Royal Mail has revealed the odd packaging used by customers to send parcels including a cat litter bag and an egg carton.
They have taken recycling to a new level during the cost-of-living crisis.
Rather than using Jiffy bags and brown paper they are opting for reusing other products wrappers and boxes.

One member of the public sent their item through the post inside an old Cat San cat litter bag.
Another made use of an old empty carton of eggs to distribute their parcel.
An old bottle of water was also put to good use by the sender stuffing the item inside it.
A McCain’s jacket potato box and an empty Birdseye fish finger container were among other quirky packages.
A further seller made use of an empty packet of Wotsits crisps to send their item in, as reported by What’s The Jam.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “Tell us you’ve sold something online, without telling us you’ve sold something online.
“We admire the creative efforts people go to in order to post their items sustainably and we can accept items in our network as long as they’re packaged safely and securely.
Members of the public were left in stitches by the post.
