‘I have to tell my kids’ teachers they can’t do homework because a SHEEP has EATEN the internet’

A mum has shared the moment she realised her children would be unable to do their homework – for a hilarious reason.

Laura Niblett – whose name is rather appropriate – took to social media to share why one animal’s unusual dinner meant her children could not hand in their assignments at school.

And it’s not even the first time it’s happened.

The 37-year-old runs a mobile farm business with her friend Emily Withers, 40, and regularly posts about their day-to-day adventures.

The Good Day Farm takes animals to care homes, nurseries, schools, and events to promote wellbeing, fun, therapy and education.

But at home, the creatures often get up to no good.

This time, one of their sheep had managed to dig up the internet cable – meaning there was no access for the kids to complete their school assignments.

Her video garnered over 72,000 views, more than 3,000 likes and many comments.

“We use one of the farm gardens for temporary animal enclosures before moving them to the field,” Laura, who is based in Gloucestershire, told What’s The Jam.

“We had piglets in there a couple years ago who dug up the internet cable and then made a nest on it, and so pulled it apart!

“This time one of our larger sheep, Mirabelle, decided to have a go.

“The smaller sheep had previously not bothered because they couldn’t reach, but Mirabelle is a bit of a liability!”

The animals at the farm, which was originally part of a pig farm run by Emily’s family, are confident and bold enough to cause constant chaos, Laura says.

This happens too often, in fact, that their husbands and children barely bat an eyelid.

Laura added: “So much happens on the farm that the kids just roll their eyes and move on, our husbands put up with a lot.

“Our TikTok is full of mishaps, animals escaping – one pig made it to the next village.

“[It shows] mistakes we have made, a regular occurrence; and a donkey that only walks backwards and won’t load on our trailer, which is not helpful for a mobile farm.

“As we are a small business that’s been going for only two years, we don’t have a lot of income, so end up doing a lot of DIY ourselves – that usually goes wrong.

“So it’s always an adventure, and as our animals are so tame, they tend to cause a bit of trouble.”

Viewers were quick to share their thoughts – and similar experiences.

One person said: “Oh I’d just love to be the person who received your insurance claim – ‘my sheep have eaten my internet’.”

A second wrote: “Mirabelle looking at you like ‘What? If it’s not for eating, don’t put it there’“.

A third added: “Best excuse ever.”

A different person said: “Mirabelle has zero regrets.”

Another one wrote: “Once my dog did actually eat my homework and I made sure to bring in and present the regurgitated corner of the page when I knew my teacher wasn’t going to believe me!!!”
