Posters from some of the most iconic films in movie history are on sale and could fetch over £30,000.

The visuals span movies from the silent era through to modern times.

One of the highlights is a striking poster of Hammer’s Horror of Dracula, 1958.

The British film starred Peter Cushing alongside Christopher Lee as Dracula.

The artwork, created by Bill Wiggins, vividly depicts the vampire with his pale undead skin as he prepares to attack Mina, played by Melissa Stribling, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Its estimate is £30,700.

A poster from the Marx Brothers’ film, Horse Feathers ,1932, also has a pre-sale estimate of £30,000.

“This highly sought-after poster is in its original, unrestored state and has not been backed,” reads the listing for the Dracula item.

“It displays a light additional fold, minor fold wear, slight separation at the cross folds, a few pinholes, and a small area of creasing near Dracula’s shirt cuff.

“Additionally, there is a minor tide stain on the back that has caused some light discoloration on Stribling’s cheek, along with minor separation at the ends of some folds and tiny edge chips at both ends of the horizontal fold.

“The bottom edge of the right border also shows some wear.

“Despite these issues, this unrestored example boasts rich, bold colors, with vibrant shades of red and yellow that show no signs of fading.

“Directed by Terence Fisher, this version of Dracula is widely regarded as not only the best of all Hammer Horror films but also one of the finest adaptations of Bram Stoker’s classic novel.

“Its concise story, crafted by Jimmy Sangster, superb Gothic sets, and celebrated climax contribute to its acclaim.

“This unrestored, country-of-origin quad will be a cornerstone of any serious collection.”

Another rare offering is a pre-War Belgian poster for The Bride of Frankenstein from 1935.

The poster features a stunning image of Boris Karloff as Frankenstein’s Monster alongside Elsa Lanchester and Dr Pretorius played by Ernest Thesiger.

It has a pre-sale estimate of £20,000.

The auction also features notable noir thriller titles, including a poster from Billy Wilder’s multiple Academy Award–winning Sunset Boulevard, 1950.

It is described as being both nightmarish and timeless in its design and has an estimate of £8,000.

Also included is a poster from Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo, 1958 estimated at £4,000.

The collection is being offered over three days from 6-8 March by Propstore in Los Angeles, US.
