An RNLI team have had a “proper tidy” day after a fleeting visit from Ruth Jones.
The star, best known for co-creating and starring in the hit comedy series Gavin & Stacey, popped into Porthcawl lifeboat station where she met with crew and posed for photos.
The visit brought plenty of smiles – and even a few nods to her iconic catchphrases – as the crew described it as a “proper tidy” boost to their day, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The 59-year-old actress and writer, who grew up in south Wales and has long supported community causes, visited with her friend and actor Steve Spiers, 60, and Barry RNLI.
The RNLI has been at the heart of Porthcawl for 60 years, with volunteers on call 24/7.

Last year alone, the charity’s crews in Wales launched 71 times and helped save 16 lives as well as aiding 91.
They captioned the post: “Oh what’s occurrin’?
“We had a proper tidy day today when we were joined by Ruth Jones, Steve Spiers and Barry Dock RNLI.”
