Gregg Wallace has been mocked over his pasta dish, which was compared to something students would eat.
The ex-MasterChef host whipped up what he called an ‘easy dinner.’
He made a pasta sauce with tomatoes, onion, garlic and oregano.

The 60-year-old then mixed it into farfalle bow pasta and grated Parmesan cheese on it.
But foodies were quick to poke fun at how basic the meal was.
It was likened to a dish that students would make in their uni digs.
It was also compared to what a 12-year-old would make in a secondary school home economics lesson, as reported on What’s The Jam.
Wallace – sacked in July by the BBC over alleged misconduct – said: “A fresh, lovely, easy tomato sauce.

“Roughly chop up some tomatoes, dice an onion, as easy as that.
“Now soften the onion in some olive oil.
“This peels the skin of the garlic.”

The former telly star – who is taking legal action against the Beeb – added: “Grate the garlic into the onion, put the tomatoes in.
“Let it simmer away.
“There, I’m adding oregano. Tomato sauce on the pasta.
“Finished with a bit of Parmesan cheese.
“Robert’s your father’s brother.”
One food lover joked: “Are you at uni?”
Andy Easton quipped: “The sort of recipe you learnt in home economics when you were 12.”
Keiron Jones said, “Kids’ meal.”
A lorry driver added: “I could cook that in my truck.”
Another said: “If you are going to grate garlic, there’s no need to peel it.
“The skin doesn’t go through.”
Yet Eddy Leonard loved it and said, “Yum yum.”
Emily added, “I love pasta.”
