Thousands of shoppers could have the cost of their groceries wiped under a new supermarket giveaway.
Customers spending as little as £1 will automatically be entered for the chance to receive their qualifying shop completely free.
Southern Co-op has launched its “Pop in and Win” campaign, which will see up to 10,000 customers selected at random before the promotion ends on 21 August.

Winners will be chosen automatically by the retailer’s till system when paying at staffed or self-service checkouts, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Shoppers do not need to register or scan a special voucher to participate, while store employees will have no involvement in selecting the winners.
Customers must spend at least £1 on qualifying products to be entered.
However, alcohol, tobacco, baby formula, lottery tickets, gift cards, fuel and certain other products and services are excluded and will still need to be paid for.
The giveaway is running at 173 company-owned Southern Co-op food stores across the south of England.
