Morrisons shoppers are being urged to check their apps after the supermarket launched a new scheme that could unlock a sizeable discount.
The retailer is offering selected customers the chance to earn a 10% reward if they spend £250 before the end of the month (June).
The offer is available through Morrisons’ More loyalty programme and runs until 30 June.

Customers who have been invited to take part simply need to scan their More Card whenever they shop in-store or ensure their card is linked to their Morrisons online account.
Spending is tracked automatically and can be monitored through the Morrisons More app, website or on receipts, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Morrisons said shoppers can build towards the target through multiple purchases rather than completing one large shop.

The supermarket said: “You can shop as little and as often as you like to build up your total, this includes any shops you do both in-store and online as long as you scan your Morrisons More card with each transaction.”
Online spending also counts towards the target, although Morrisons said purchases will be added to a customer’s running total up to 72 hours after an order has been delivered.

However, not every customer will be eligible.
Morrisons said the More Plus offer is only available to selected customers and those wishing to take part should check the homepage of the Morrisons More app or website to see whether they have been invited.
Customers who reach the £250 spending threshold will qualify for a reward worth 10% of that total spend.

The discount will then be added to the ‘My Offers’ section of their account within 72 hours of completing the challenge, although it must be activated before it can be used.
The loyalty scheme is not the only recent change announced by Morrisons.
The supermarket has also started trialling futuristic AI-powered shopping trolleys at its Riversway store in Preston.

The high-tech carts, known as Caper Carts, are fitted with touchscreens, cameras, sensors and built-in scales that automatically identify products as shoppers place them in their baskets.
Customers can weigh fruit and vegetables, track their spending in real time and link the trolley to their Morrisons More account to receive personalised offers while they shop.
The technology is already used by several major retailers in the US, but Morrisons will become the first supermarket to trial the system in the UK.
