A motorist has revealed a clever de-icer hack that can defrost your car in seconds – and it won’t cost you a penny.
Adrian Garner says the simple trick earns him a few extra minutes in his warm bed before braving the chilly morning commute.
Instead of heading out early to scrape ice off his windscreen, the 51-year-old grabs one everyday household item – an old spray bottle.

The field sales executive fills it with warm – not boiling – water, then spritzes it across the frozen glass, clearing it in moments.
The bottle can be anything you’ve got lying around – from an empty cleaning spray to a used air freshener bottle.
Adrian, from Leicester, says the hack saves him money every winter by avoiding pricey de-icer refills.
He shared the trick online, where it racked up more than 23,000 views.
The clip was filmed on Thursday (27 Nov), and now drivers across the country are ready to give it a go.

“Little life hack for you, instead of spending loads of money on de-icer,” Adrian told What’s The Jam.

“Drip round your car.

“So much cheaper than spending £3 a time on a bottle of de-icer.
“Warm water just in an old bottle.
“It just saves spending on de-icer, or just a good trick if you have none on you.”
