A shocked mother watched on in horror as a seagull swooped in through the window to steal her child’s cake out of his hands.
Katie Jones could not believe her eyes when the winged intruder came into her home.
The stay-at-home mum’s son, Arlo, wanted to show off his last piece of cake to a seagull that had visited their home a few times.

Unfortunately for the two-year-old, the bird was more interested in a quick snack.
The bizarre clip shows Steve the seagull lunging forward through the open window and snatching the item out of his hands.
Before this interaction, the mum and son duo from Hastings, East Sussex, believed they had befriended the gull.
The footage was taken by the 28-year-old in their flat after just moving.
“Neither of us expected him to dive through the window like that,” Katie told What’s The Jam.

“Arlo wasn’t offering his food – he usually just likes to show ‘Steve’ what he’s eating.
“He was a bit unsure at first, but then he wanted to give him the rest of his food.
“I had to shut the window.

“Steve visited from the day we moved in.
“I guess the previous people used to feed him, as he was always tapping the window during meal times.
“We haven’t seen him much since it got cold.
“We all know seagulls eat everything, so he seemed to just take his chances.”
