A vintage Mercedes-Benz owned by Hollywood power couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson is heading under the hammer for £315,000.
This dazzling 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet is now looking for a new owner after previously being driven by silver screen royalty.
The motor was previously owned by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson – who have been married for over 38 years.

The Hollywood A-listers sold the Mercedes to the current owner back in 2014.
The stately, sophisticated classic ride is described as practical enough to be used on a regular basis.
This particular line of Mercedes’ has attracted
a number of high-profile owners, including Ralph Lauren, Cher, and Roy Orbison.
The motor is powered by the legendary M116 3.5-liter V8 engine – giving it a roaring top speed of 130mph, as reported by NeedToKnow.

After being sold to the current consignor it was restored to its original specification.
This included stripping it back to its bare metal and refinishing the car in the original Tobacco Brown exterior.
The interior was fully retrimmed in Cognac leather, while the wood trim was restored and refinished alongside the brightwork.

Since being acquired in 2014, the car has covered just over 700 miles and is described as being in excellent condition throughout.
The motor will feature at a sealed RM Sotheby’s auction in Costa Mesa, California.
Bidding will open on 17 Jun with an estimated worth of £315,000.
