Twenty six drivers had parking fines slapped on the cars and vans that were parked on their own driveways and outside their homes.

An eagle-eyed local spotted the little, yellow, square pouches stuck to the windscreens.

He walked up and down the street in astonishment.

And around ten of the 26 vehicles appear to be parked on private driveways

It was spotted on Sunnycroft Road in Southall, west London.

But unbeknown to him the tickets were actually FAKE.

They had been placed there by a prankster, as reporter by What’s the Jam.

The man said: “What is so funny on this road.

“A ticket, another ticket.

“Another one.

“F*cking hell.”

He exclaimed: “These people are parking on their own driveways.”

As we walked down the road he added: “Another parking ticket.

“What kind of job is this?”

“We have a ticket over there as well.

“Tickets, tickets, tickets, everywhere.

“Welcome to Sunnycroft Road, the land of tickets.”

One joked: “It’s like the ticket Santa.”

Another said: “These must be the scamming tickets.”

A third added: “You can also buy fake parking tickets as a joke.

“I know because I’ve some at home still in the packet.”

An Ealing Council spokesperson said: “The council is aware of fake parking tickets being left on cars parked on private property in the Southall area.

“These items are designed to look like penalty charge notices (PCN), but they are not issued by the council or our contractors and are not valid.

“Residents are advised to remain alert and check for signs of a fake PCN. You can spot a fake ticket by paying attention to the wording printed on the yellow pouch. Legitimate tickets issued by the council state ‘Penalty Charge Notice’, while the fraudulent tickets display ‘Parking Charge Notice’.

“To clarify, Ealing Council does not issue parking tickets for vehicles parked in a resident’s driveway on private property. For more information about parking enforcement, please visit the council’s website.”
