A remorseful man has returned a stolen blanket to a hotel after over 30 years.
The guilty guest nabbed the furry blanket from the hotel in July 1993.
He returned to the establishment to return the item along with an apology letter.
In the note, which was not signed, the man said he used the blanket to travel across the country with his girlfriend in their car.

Stunned staff members at Hotel Fraiburgo, located in Santa Catarina, Brazil, said they were “honoured to be part of this story in some way”.
The resentful man wrote: “Dear and esteemed person responsible for Hotel Fraiburgo.
“It is with great joy and relief, but at the same time shame and regret, that we are returning, after 30 years and five months, this blanket.
“I received excellent service at this hotel at the time, July 1993, and when checking out, I reluctantly took it so that me and my girlfriend at the time could sleep in our car and continue our trip across Brazil.

The man said he was based in Joinville, the largest city in Santa Catarina, and dated the letter as ‘3 January’
A Hotel Fraiburgo spokesperson said: “We are honoured to be part of this story in some way and happy that it fulfilled its purpose.”
They stated that the blanket was left in reception in a plastic bag, adding that they still use the same types of blankets in the hotel today.
They plan to showcase the letter and blanket in a display case so visitors can learn about the unusual story.
