It appeared while kids were playing in the park.
Concerned parents noticed the hole which had been caused by some form of collapse of the surface layer.

They immediately evacuated the children from the area.
One dad was then seen inspecting the cavity on Monday (7 Oct).
The soil seems to be extremely weak around an exposed hole that is said to be several metres deep.
The parents informed the authorities in Medellín, Colombia, to take necessary action before a child suffered an injury or worse.
They criticised the local council for their alleged lack of response, as reported by What’s The Jam.

They claimed numerous parents reported the presence of the sinkhole but have yet to receive an official response.
Locals also said that no one has visited the affected playground to carry out an inspection and cordon off the dangerous area.
As a result, many parents are preventing their children from passing through the park as an accident could occur.

They are also worried that the park may become a hotspot for crime and drug trafficking if left abandoned.
Locals are calling on Medellín mayor Federico Gutiérrez to take urgent action and ensure the park doesn’t fall into disrepair.
