A couple cooking a romantic meal for their wedding anniversary got a shock when they found a nine-inch frozen chip.
Dylan John was preparing a steak dinner for his wife Erica when he spotted the enormous fry.
The 47-year-old tipped the bag of Aldi’s Four Season sweet potato fries onto a baking tray.

He was gobsmacked by the whopping chip coming out of the £2.45, 500g pack.
He went to his tool box to grab a tape measure and the beast came in at 22.86cm – or nine inches in length.
Fittingly, it was as they celebrated nine years of marriage.
Dylan, from Burnley, Lancs, told What’s The Jam “We couldn’t believe the size of it.
“My wife joked she was getting nine inches on her anniversary.”

“We love a steak dinner for a date night but this one was extra memorable.
“I’d prepped my garlic mushrooms, seasoned the rump steaks and asparagus.
“I opened the bag of fries and out popped this monster.

“I said to my wife, look at the size of this big boy.
“I took a photo of it for posterity as you don’t come across fries of that magnitude very often.
“I popped it onto the tray and shoved it in the oven.
“Once it was cooked, I cut it in half and we shared it. We couldn’t stop laughing about it.”
It comes after Archie Chisnall, of St Helen’s, Merseyside found a 7.1 inch chip in 2020.
A year later Richard Lay-Flurrie, of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, topped it with a 8.1inch one.
But Joe Graves, of York topped them both with a ten incher.
