This exquisite 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO is one of the lowest mileage examples in existence.
With a total of just 947 miles on the clock, this motor joins just six other sub 1,000-mile 288 GTO’s on the planet.
The rapid Ferrari possesses a top speed of 189mph and goes from 0-60 in just 4.8 seconds.

Powered by a hair-raising 2.8-litre V-8 engine equipped with twin IHI turbochargers, the vehicle produces a monstrous 400 horsepower.

This particular model was the 99th example ever produced by the luxury car manufacturer.
The motor has spent the last 20 years under a single owner.
The vehicle recently had a major mechanical service at Ferrari Central Florida, leaving it in top condition.

The new owner will benefit from the added features of air conditioning and power windows.

The current market value for a 288 GTO ranges from £2.1million to £4million.
Bidding is set to open on 13 August, as reported by Whats The Jam.

RM Sotheby’s, which is hosting the sale, said: “Forty years before the introduction of the Ferrari F80, it was the 288 GTO that took the automotive world by storm, becoming the first Ferrari ‘hypercar’ and the car that would spawn the mythical lineage of F40, F50, Enzo, LaFerrari, and finally F80 to follow.

“An inspection undertaken in the summer of 2025 shows that the car remains in wonderful condition throughout, in keeping with the car’s incredibly low mileage showing just under 1,525 km (947 miles) on its odometer at the time of cataloguing.

“The vast majority of 288 GTOs were well used by their original and subsequent owners and, as such, finding a true low-mileage 288 GTO to go alongside its successors is easier said than done.
“With likely less than six documented sub-1,000-mile examples remaining, and boasting well-documented European and US ownership, this 288 GTO is certainly among the very best examples to ever come to market.”
Bidding opens for this incredible vehicle for sale in Monterey, California, on the 13th August.
