A magnificent motor from Ferrari’s golden F1 era is up for auction.
The stunning 1954 Ferrari 625 F1 has been part of the prestigious Bardinon Mas du Clos collection for the last 15 years.
The vehicle is a sister to Ferrari’s first-ever world championship-winning motor, the fantastic 500 F2, as reported by What’s The Jam.
It fired the iconic Alberto Ascari into back-to-back world championships in 1952 and 1953.

The car was upgraded in the factory to fit the new 625 F1 specifications, becoming the first Ferrari to be campaigned by the Belgian national team Ecurie Francorchamps.
To add to the car’s illustrious history, it was also the only Ferrari Monoposto ever raced by the legendary, Marquis Alfonso de Portago.
RM Sotheby’s, a collector car auction company, is listing the legendary motor as part of their upcoming Monaco sale in May 2024.
The 70-year-old car is set to go for a whopping £2.5m.

“It invites admirers to indulge in its brilliant engineering mandate, fostered by the genius of Aurelio Lampredi, and employed to such overwhelming success by the luminary Alberto Ascari.”
