A solo traveller claims she was left stranded at 3am in a foreign country after arriving at a hotel to find her confirmed booking had allegedly been cancelled while she was in the air.
Sara Bevivino says she landed expecting to check into her room, only to be told there was no accommodation available.
The 28-year-old traveller claims she had warned the hotel in advance that she would be arriving late and had been assured it would not be a problem.

Instead, she found herself desperately searching for somewhere safe to sleep in the middle of the night.
In a video filmed outside the hotel, Sara can be heard confronting staff after being told there was no room for her.
“You cannot leave a young girl in the night without a hotel,” she says.
“No one texted me for this.
“You cannot do that.

“It’s 3am and I’m stranded.”
Sara, who is originally from Italy and now lives in Switzerland, regularly documents her solo adventures online as she works towards a goal of visiting 100 countries before turning 30.
She said the incident happened during a trip to Hurghada, the popular Red Sea resort known for its diving, beaches and year-round sunshine, on 20 June.

“Before travelling, I informed the hotel that I would be arriving late at night and they confirmed that this would not be a problem because their reception was open 24 hours a day,” Sara told Whats The Jam.
“However, when I arrived, I was told my reservation had been cancelled and there were no available rooms despite having a confirmed booking.
“I was left without accommodation.
“The receptionist kept repeating ‘sorry’ but I felt he was dismissive and made no effort to help me find a solution.”
After travelling overnight following a full day at work, Sara said her priority was finding somewhere safe to stay.
She said: “It was around 3am and being left on the streets of a foreign country with nowhere to go was a very stressful situation.
“My first thought wasn’t even about myself.
“It was that this could happen to someone on their very first solo trip.
“Two years ago, I was that person.”
Unable to find a hotel offering immediate online check-in, Sara asked the receptionist to contact another nearby property where she had previously stayed.
She says the hotel had one room available and she took an Uber there.
After sharing her ordeal on social media, the video quickly attracted widespread attention online.
Days later, Sara says the hotel contacted her to apologise and offered her a complimentary stay.
In a follow-up video, she claimed the hotel acknowledged what had happened and promised to introduce new procedures to prevent similar incidents.
However, she questioned why the apology came after the video gained traction online.
Sara said: “I believe everyone can make mistakes.
“But they had already been asked to apologise before I posted the video.
“They had several days to do so.
“Only after the video went viral did I receive an apology.
“I can’t know their intentions, but I lean more towards it being damage control.”
Sara stressed she was not criticising the country where the incident took place.
She added: “This video wasn’t about attacking Egypt or any other country.
“These situations can happen anywhere in the world.
“I love Egypt and I love travelling.
“My intention was simply to raise awareness because no traveller should ever be left without accommodation in the middle of the night.”
