A one-off Lamborghini supercar concept inspired by a fighter jet is heading to auction for £3m.

The sale of the breathtaking 1998 Pregunta model presents a rare chance at owning one of the world’s most unique motors.

Its looks were inspired by the legendary Dassault Rafale fighter jet, with the bodywork, paint, and cockpit based on the war machine.

The drivable concept car is based on the Lamborghini Diablo.

The unique ride is kitted out with a hair-raising 5.7-litre V12 engine with a gated five-speed manual transmission.

The Pregunta can reach a mind blowing top speed of 206mph.

The speed demon can also go from naught to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, as reported by Whats The Jam.

The cockpit of the car has a technologically advanced design, where it was originally equipped with rear-facing cameras and fibre optic interior lights.

The French coachbuilder Carrosserie Heuliez-Torino completed the styling and the bodywork of the motor.

The 27-year-old car was the last concept built in the pre-Audi era.

During its time the motor has been displayed at the Salon de Paris, Geneva Motor Show, and the Museo Lamborghini.

The car will head under the hammer on 10 October.

The Lamborghini will be part of the Zoute Concours Auction 2025, hosted by Broad Arrow.

A spokesperson for Broad Arrow stated: “Fresh to market after over a decade, this is an exclusive opportunity to acquire such a unique piece of Lamborghini history—one that bridged the marque’s independent past with the modern supercar renaissance it has helped cultivate.

“As its name implies, the 1998 Lamborghini Pregunta posed questions about the future of automotive design that only the most iconic supercars today have been able to properly answer.”
