A new electric Jaguar model has been spotted being charged with a diesel generator before a glitzy show.
The car giant was widely mocked for it’s ‘Copy Nothing’ marketing campaign last November.
It showed off its new Type 00 model at Paris Fashion Week 2025.

Irish actor Barry Keoghan turned heads at the show when he rocked up in the new ultramarine Jag.
But eagle-eyed locals spotted the car apparently being charged by the side of the road prior to its glitzy appearance.
The car was seen covered in a black sheet as representatives apparently used a generator to get it moving.
One onlooker said: “New Jaguar Type 00 seen in the streets of Paris for the first time.
“And charged with a diesel generator.

“‘Leap forward’, they said. ‘Copy nothing’, they said. Come on Jaguar.”
One local remarked: “The future, with a small portable fuel generator.”

Luis said: “You either love it or hate it. I admire it, finally a radical change for Jaguar.

“They’ve been losing their glamour for decades.”
The car company was quick to point out that the Paris Fashion Show was not the first unveiling of the model.
They also said that the Type 00 is a “concept car, not a production car” that was for a “demonstration only”.
A spokesperson for Jaguar Land Rover (UK) told What’s The Jam: “The Type 00 design vision concept is a bold reimagining of Jaguar.
“As this is a concept model and not a production vehicle, portable charging sources were on standby.
“This was for limited model demonstration purposes but not to charge the electric motor.”
