A cheeky monkey punched a woman in the head after stealing an egg roll from her home.
She said two monkeys broke into her home at around 6.40am on Sunday (1 Mar).
As they looked for food in her house, her two children were sleeping nearby.

The noise woke her up and she grabbed a clothesline pole to scare them away.
She then confronted the monkeys while they sat on an outside wall eating her food.
As she approached them with the pole in hand, one primate walloped her around the back of the head.
She lost her balance and stumbled forwards while clutching the back of her head.
The teacher said she wasn’t afraid of the animals, but called the blow to her head “painful”.

She added that she only wanted to scare the macaques away, not harm them.
Following the home invasion, the mother said she intends to buy some monkey-proof screens and self-defence weapons, as reported by What’s The Jam.
She added: “This is a real problem for residents near Shoushan Mountain.”

The encounter took place at her home in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan.
Lin Mei-yin, secretary-general of the Taiwan Macaque Coexistence Promotion Association, suggested installing monkey screens to keep out unwanted primates.
She also advised striking the ground with a stick to make a noise and scare them away, but do not corner them.
According to Lin, a macaque may attack out of fear if they feel threatened.
