An auction is said to have broken records after flogging LeBron James’ basketball jersey for a staggering $1.3m (£970,000).
Dubbed ‘Legends in Motion’, the event also features items from other sports stars – such as Michael Jordan, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi – as well as other famous names such as Bruce Lee and Taylor Swift.
But it was LeBron’s jersey that pulled in the most cash.

The NBA star sported the piece during his very first photo shoot with Sports Illustrated back in 2002, as reported by What’s The Jam.
He also wore the jersey during a high school game later that same day while playing for St Vincent-St Mary against the Archbishop Hoban Knights.
Meanwhile, Michael Jordan’s signed basketball from his ‘Jam’ music video went under the hammer for $45,500, (£34,000).
The prop was used by Jordan and Michael Jackson in the 1992 music video and features the inscription ‘Best Wishes’ in black marker, alongside the basketball player’s signature.
Ronaldo’s jersey from the 2018 UEFA Champions League final match sold for $7,620, (£5,600), while Messi’s jersey worn during the 2022 World Cup Argentina game pulled in $2,275, (£1,700).

Argentina defeated Poland 2-0 in the Group C stage.
The tournament saw Messi capture his first major trophy with the senior national team.
Another popular auction listing was a pair of stunt nunchaku used by Bruce Lee, sold for $190,500 (£140,000).

The weapon was used on-screen by the martial artist and actor in the film Enter the Dragon in 1973.
Lee used the stunt nunchaku during the iconic cavern fight sequence.
It is comprised of lightweight wood encased in durable foam, which has been reinforced with a resin-treated leather protective coating.
Other pieces included Taylor Swift’s 2023 Eras Tour worn and signed fedora hat, selling for $22,750, (£17,000).
The hat is signed by Swift in silver marker.
If you’ve ever been to an Eras concert, you know that one of these hats is handed out to a lucky fan during every show.
Swift wore the hat on stage during the song ‘22’ from her fourth studio album, Red.
The “record breaking” event was held by Julien’s Auctions in Hong Kong, with the grand total set at £2.2m.
In a statement, the auctioneer said: “A marquee lineup of over 87 star-studded items from the world’s most acclaimed champions of sports, music and entertainment went under the hammer.
“At Julien’s, we exist to bring those moments back into your life through iconic artefacts and one-of-a-kind collections.
