A beauty influencer has been slammed after filming herself carrying out an elaborate skincare routine during a nearly three-hour movie.
Miranda Wilson appeared to cleanse, mist and moisturise her face before even applying a full sheet mask while watching Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
The nurse practitioner, from Orange County, California, US, is known online as @np.miranda and boasts more than two million followers across social media, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Her bizarre video, which racked up more than 3.1million views, shows her performing the multi-step beauty regimen from her seat while fellow cinemagoers sit in the surrounding rows.
She captioned the TikTok: “POV, the movie is three hours long.”
Miranda added: “Anyone else bring their own skincare and snacks to the movies?”
The clip begins with the influencer pulling on a headband to keep her hair away from her face.
She then rummages through a toiletries bag before using micellar water and a cotton pad to cleanse her skin.

Miranda follows this with an exosome facial mist, neck cream and density-restoring eye cream.

She finishes by placing a collagen sheet mask over her entire face to “lock it all in” before applying a propolis-infused lip mask.
The influencer is also seen munching on jerky and sipping a soft drink during the blockbuster.

But viewers were less concerned about her hydrated complexion and more worried about the disruption her routine and filming could have caused to those around her.
One unimpressed viewer said: “This is just ridiculous and tacky.”

Another person wrote: “Skin care is a home activity.”
A third viewer added: “Girl, I love your videos, but skincare in the movie theatre is so inconsiderate to others.”
A fourth person said: “At this point, see the [movie] at home.
“It is unhygienic [and] inconsiderate for the others around you.”
One viewer even suggested they would have complained to cinema staff, writing: “I would’ve reported you to the staff.”

Another questioned the hygiene of carrying out a skincare routine without access to a sink.
They said: “Does no one ever think about how absolutely disgusting it is to do skincare in random public places?
“The places are absolutely filthy and you’re not at a sink, so you can’t even wash your hands before touching your face.”
But others leapt to Miranda’s defence and questioned how wearing a sheet mask could possibly affect anyone else in the cinema.
One commentator said: “I really don’t understand how this could possibly bother anyone else.”

The Odyssey, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya, has a running time of approximately 172 minutes.
