Video footage has captured the incredible moment a police officer wrangled an alligator by lassoing it.
The dangerous creature had invaded a woman’s garden, loitering on her front porch.
The distressed homeowner called the authorities to intervene and remove the surprise intruder.

Bodycam footage shows two officers approaching the gator, which then slips into the back garden.
Deputies approached the unexpected visitor with a rope in hand and attempted to lasso it.
Overhead drone video footage shows one of the officers wrestling the alligator after successfully securing it with the rope.
The officers then pacified the beast by wrapping tape around the it’s jaw, effectively neutralising it.
The alligator was then directed by the deputies into the back of a nearby police car and was safely relocated.

The incident occurred earlier this month (4 September) in Lake County, Florida.
