Balenciaga is flogging Valentine’s Day clothes for up to £925 even though they are covered in fake lipstick and holes.

The trendy fashion chain is selling black and white hoodies for that price.

It also has a £550, faded, dark baggy T-shirt in its range for the most romantic day of the year on 14 February.

The cheapest item – for lovebirds to buy each other – is a £475 small fit white top.

But all the clobber has ‘Happy Valentine’s’ daubed on the front.

On the back they have ‘Roses are red, violets are blue, I will forever be thankful for you’

The print writing is described as ‘lipstick Valentine’s artwork’.

But the female garments also have holes at the hems.

One shopper said: “If anyone has the money to buy these, they must be blinded by love.”

The hoodie product descriptions reads: “Archetype fleece, hood without drawstring, dropped shoulders,

“Double-ended zip fastening, two pockets at front, gathered at cuffs and waistline.

Two years ago, Balenciaga started selling a skirt that looked like a towel wrapped around the wearer for £695.

The fashion line is popular with A-listers like Kim Kardashian and England and Man City ace Jack Grealish.
