A wealthy singleton is looking to hire a £45,000 housekeeper to also be his “companion.”
The lonely man wants some help to cook him “simple meals.”
Other roles will be doing his food shopping, errands like nipping to the Post Office and small household chores.
But the successful applicant will also need to be “jolly” and like “to laugh” while acting as a “companion.”

The good news is they won’t be expected to get their hands dirty as there is already a cleaner.
The job will be 40 hours per week, weekdays between 11 am and 7 pm.

It is a permanent role and will be based at the man’s house in posh Sandwich, Kent.

The advert reads: “Excellent live-in housekeeper needed for a lovely single principal.
“Our client is looking for a friendly, organised, and warm person who can also act as a companion.
“Who will take responsibility for the cooking for the principal? He enjoys simple meals which should be healthy and nutritious.

“The principal is mostly at home and is very independent so would not need assistance with personal care.
“The principal also does have a cleaner, so this role is mainly cooking and light household duties and laundry.
“The family will also consider someone who will bring their pet along –this would be welcomed.”
The general duties are listed as: “Mostly cooking, housekeeping duties, grocery shopping, general errands like going to the Post Office.”
The candidate requirements are: “Confident cook, mucking in and helping where needed.
“Must be engaging and confident, someone who is jolly and likes to laugh.
“Checkable references and DBS, ideally, you would be a driver and you would be able to drive the principal’s car.”
