Urban Outfitters has made a major change to how customers can receive online orders across the UK.

The fashion and lifestyle retailer has partnered with parcel delivery company InPost to introduce locker collection at its online checkout.

It means shoppers can now have purchases sent to a nearby InPost Locker instead of waiting for a delivery at home.

The option gives Urban Outfitters customers access to InPost’s network of more than 15,000 lockers across the country, as reported by whats the jam.

According to the companies, the lockers are available around the clock, allowing customers to collect orders at a time that suits them.

Urban Outfitters shoppers can select InPost Locker delivery when completing an eligible purchase through the retailer’s website.

They can then choose a convenient collection location rather than providing a residential delivery address.

Urban Outfitters has teamed up with InPost to offer 24/7 locker collection at checkout, giving UK shoppers access to more than 15,000 lockers nationwide.

The new service may be particularly useful for customers who are regularly away from home or do not have a secure place for parcels to be left.

It could also help shoppers avoid rearranging missed deliveries or waiting at home for a courier.

InPost announced the partnership in a social media post, writing: “Big news – InPost Locker delivery is now live with Urban Outfitters!

“UO shoppers can now choose to collect their online orders from InPost’s nationwide network of 15,000-plus Lockers, available 24/7 – no missed deliveries, no waiting in, just pick up when it suits them.”

Figures cited by InPost suggest four in 10 parcel recipients miss at least one delivery every month.

Among those customers, the company said around one in three deliveries fail on their first attempt.

Jon Nicholson, chief commercial officer at InPost UK, said: “Partnering with Urban Outfitters gives their customers real control over how and when they collect their orders.

“We know that four in 10 parcel recipients miss at least one delivery a month, and among those, around one in three fail on the first attempt.

“An InPost Locker or Shop removes that uncertainty entirely, letting shoppers collect at a time and place that suits them.

“Urban Outfitters understands what its customers want and this partnership gives their shoppers a faster, more flexible way to receive orders without changing how they shop.

“We’re looking forward to bringing that same convenience to more of their customers across the UK.”

The new InPost collection option is available to Urban Outfitters customers in the UK now.
