A tiny ticket to a Beatles gig at the dawn of their superstardom is tipped to fetch a monster price at auction.

The pink slip of paper – just three inches by four – originally cost five shillings, which is about £5 today.

Now it’s expected to go for a whopping £1,500.

If it hits that figure, it’ll have shot up in value by 300 times, as reported by What’s The Jam.

The pass was for the Fab Four’s show at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church youth club in Birkenhead, Merseyside, on Saturday 10 March 10 1962 – the second of two gigs they played there.

The Beatles headlined, with support from local act The Country Four with Brian Newman.

The slice of music history is being sold by Ewbank’s.

Also going under the hammer is a programme from a Jimi Hendrix concert at The Saville Theatre, London, in May 1967, for an estimate of £1,200.

A striking psychedelic poster for a 1968 Hyde Park “Legalise Pot” rally by artist John Hurford is also due to sell for an estimated £1,200.

The online sale of 1960s and 1970s concert posters and programmes will take place on 20 August.
