Tesco launches new luxury range in more than 150 stores

Tesco shoppers can now pick up a new luxury food range designed to bring restaurant-style dining into the home.

The supermarket giant has launched seven new Finest fish and seafood products in more than 150 of its larger stores.

The collection includes Norwegian halibut, British king scallops, Alaskan sablefish and salmon sourced from the Arctic Circle.

Tesco said its specialist buying team had carefully sourced the range to help customers create more indulgent meals without heading to a restaurant, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Each product also comes with suggested cooking instructions, meaning shoppers will not need to be seafood experts to prepare them.

The new collection arrived in participating stores on September 21.

It builds on the success of Tesco’s Finest Steakhouse range, which offers premium cuts of meat intended to give shoppers a restaurant-inspired experience at home.

The seafood products will come in new “elevated” packaging and appear together in a dedicated display in participating supermarkets.

Richard Wood, Tesco’s meat, fish, poultry, dairy and eggs director, said: “We know life’s busy, but customers shouldn’t have to miss out on creating luxury dishes at home.

“That’s why our specialist teams have carefully sourced a range of top-quality Finest fish and shellfish products to help customers transform a meal at home into something special.”

The launch comes amid a major shake-up of Tesco’s frozen aisles, with more than 150 new products being introduced across the UK.

The wider revamp includes new weekday meals, winter warmers, desserts and bakery treats.

Tesco said availability would vary between branches, with some products only being stocked in selected stores.

• Tesco Finest Arctic Circle Large Salmon Fillet, 200g
• Tesco Finest Arctic Circle Prime Sharing Salmon Fillet, 500g
