Iceland has launched its Christmas party food range, and tree-shaped chicken nuggets have stolen the show.
The frozen food specialist’s festive freezers are once again packed with picky bits aimed at shoppers hosting parties or settling down for a buffet-style tea.
It’s returning 275g Crispy Chicken Christmas Trees that have generated particular excitement after being spotted by shoppers.

The breaded chicken pieces are moulded into festive fir trees and are currently listed for £3 on Iceland’s Deliveroo menus, although delivery-platform prices can differ from those charged in stores, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Other additions include Crispy Salt and Pepper Chicken Spring Rolls, Sweet Chilli Chicken Skewers, Crispy Duck Gyozas and BBQ Chicken Bites.

Traditional buffet staples have not been forgotten, with cocktail sausages, pigs in blankets, chicken goujons, mini sausage rolls and cheese and onion rolls also lining the freezers.
For those wanting something more substantial, the range includes Mini Chicken Bakes and Mini Steak Bakes.
Many of the products display air-fryer cooking instructions, potentially making it easier to send out fresh batches during a Christmas gathering.

Selected packs cost £2.50 each when bought individually from Iceland, but shoppers can mix and match three for £5 – working out at around £1.67 per pack.
Iceland’s website is also advertising seven qualifying party-food products for £10, bringing the cost down to approximately £1.43 each.
The retailer’s dedicated deal page currently contains 24 products, although availability may vary between stores.

The range launched in Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores, as well as online, on Thursday (6 Nov).

Shoppers were quick to start planning their festive spreads after photographs of the selection appeared on food-finding account UK Newest Foods.
One person tagged a friend and described the launch as “the best thing about Christmas”.

A second person labelled the range a “picky tea”.
Meanwhile, a third commenter said that the selection looked “perfect for Christmas”.

Alongside the party range, Iceland’s wider Christmas offering includes dinner boxes, meat centrepieces, trimmings and desserts.
But for shoppers more interested in a beige buffet than preparing a full roast, the festive chicken trees appear to be an early favourite.
