Tesco has launched a range of bakery-style cookies which can be baked straight from the freezer and rival Waitrose’s popular selection.
The supermarket has added two boxes of ready-to-bake cookie dough to its premium Finest range.
Shoppers can choose between Triple Belgian Chocolate and Salted Caramel and Belgian Milk Chocolate.

Both varieties cost £3.50 for six 372g cookies, working out at just over 58p per bake, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The Triple Belgian Chocolate version combines chunks of dark, milk and white chocolate.
Tesco describes the other flavour as gooey cookies made with salted caramel and “indulgent” Belgian milk chocolate chunks.
They take 16 minutes to bake and are designed to give shoppers warm, freshly made cookies without having to prepare dough from scratch.
Both products are suitable for vegetarians and can be found in Tesco’s frozen aisles.

The release was spotted by food-finding page Newfoodsuk, which shared pictures of the boxes on social media.
The discovery quickly caught the attention of sweet-toothed shoppers.
One person said: “Triple choc looks divine.”

Another person added: “They look yummy.”
A third person wrote: “Omg, I’ll need to get these for my house.”
A fourth person commented: “Oh my word!!!”
A fifth person wrote: “coorrrr.”
The launch gives Tesco an answer to a similar frozen range already sold by Waitrose.
Waitrose also lists six-packs of Triple Belgian Chocolate and Belgian Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel cookies, with each box weighing the same 372g.
The Waitrose versions are currently listed at £4.50, making Tesco’s new offering £1 cheaper per box.
Tesco’s new boxes are listed on its grocery website for £3.50, although availability may differ between stores.
