A super rare, mistake-ridden Star Wars toy has sold for £24,500 at auction.
The small Obi Wan Kenobi figure has a string of production errors.
The prototype made by the most celebrated Star Wars manufacturer, Kenner, is a pre-production model.

It has features that were changed before mass production.
The figure, less than four-inches high, was marked with ‘K’ and ’27’ by the original Kenner engineering department.
It has a yellow double lightsaber instead of a single blue one.
It is believed there are only three in existence.
Bidding for the Obi Wan figure with a signed certificate of authenticity started on commission at £17,000 and was sold to an internet bidder for £24,500.

The character was played by Alec Guinness in the first Star Wars film, originally called Star Wars and subsequently renamed Episode IV — A New Hope.
The character was subsequently portrayed by Ewan McGregor.
The figure was part of a Star Wars auction which raised £156,000 in sales, as reported by What’s The Jam.

It included a wide range of Star Wars memorabilia.
Other notable sales included a Kenner Canada Star Wars Walking Wind up R2-D2, which sold for £9,000, a Kenner Star Wars vintage Boba Fett ROTJ 79A, which fetched £3,900, and an assortment of vintage Palitoy Star Wars empty boxes, which were bought for £650.
A spokesperson for Vectis Auctions in Darlington said: “We started the auction with a book full of bids and were joined by buyers from around the world on three internet platforms.
“This was a fantastic auction with some fabulous prices achieved.”
