An influencer has revealed what it’s really like staying at a so-called “celebrity hotel” – where he ended up in a Bon Jovi-themed room for just £37 a night.
Spencer Ray Lyon, 33, a content creator and live stream seller, booked a stay after spotting it as the cheapest option available.
Curious about the concept, he decided to document the experience.

“I stayed there as it was the cheapest one I could find,” Spencer told What’s The Jam.
The hotel – known for its themed rooms inspired by famous figures – is located in Bournemouth.

Each room is decorated with posters and memorabilia linked to different celebrities, giving guests a novelty experience rather than a luxury stay.
But instead of brushing shoulders with A-listers, Spencer found himself surrounded by themed décor.
“I was put in a room with Bon Jovi – posters – he wasn’t actually there,” he said.

One of the more unusual features included a figure of Legolas built into the wall, adding to what he described as a “unique experience”.
Despite the quirky interior, Spencer said the stay matched his expectations.
“I paid low, expected low,” he said.

“The staff were friendly and helpful, and I used it for what I needed – a cheap overnight stay.”
He added: “Take the ‘celebrity’ part with a pinch of salt.
“I think it’s more for people who like looking at posters of famous people on their way to the room – but for the price I can’t complain. It served the purpose.”
The video was shared on his TikTok account @lifeatgully, where it has been viewed more than 440,000 times.
Viewers were quick to share their thoughts.
One user, named Lizzy, said: “£37 blooming heck that’s awesome such a bargain it has lovely furniture.”

Another user added: “Did that used to be a hospital? It definitely looks like one from the front.”
Meanwhile, another user wrote: “I mean it’s weird but for the price it looks pretty decent.”
Nikki joked: “If a celebrity gets cancelled, do they have to change the decor of that room?”
