A stunned shopper who found a dirty tennis ball inside a pair of brand-new boots says she thought she was being pranked.

The 58-year-old woman, called Shury, ordered some black Ugg-style footwear from Amazon.

She wanted to keep her feet comfortable and protect a long-standing knee injury.

But, when she opened the box, she discovered the grubby ball from Davies Sports inside one of the boots.

Shury suffered a knee injury before her daughter, Yasmin, was born, when at nine months pregnant, she was attacked by a thief on her own doorstep.

She was kicked in the knee and tripped over.

And she later gave birth that very same day.

Shury, from East Sussex, ended up needing a brutal four-hour knee surgery as the bones were shattered.

And, after receiving a dirty tennis ball inside one of her snug new boots, she was less than impressed, as reported by What’s The Jam.

But she saw the funny side of it.

Shury said: “I would never in my 58 years of life expect to have found a tennis ball inside a pair of boots ordered online.

“At least, send me the right equipment, like a pair of skis and goggles, to match the theme next time.”
