A shocked customer found an old Nando’s receipt from 2010 which shows a meal has doubled from £16.80 meal to £33.40.
Livi Smith could not believe her eyes after finding a bill from 15 years ago.
The meal consisted of two chicken burgers with chips and a bottomless drink which cost just £16.80.

Livi, of Kingston Upon Thames, south west London wanted to see how much the same meal would cost nowadays.

After visiting her local Nando’s and ordering the same items, Livi was left blown away by the bill.
The receipt came to a whopping £33.40 a whole £16.60 more than it was in 2010.
Taking inflation into account, according to the Bank of England inflation calculator the dish should be around £25.87 in 2025.
Back in 2010, Nando’s was all the rage with Ed Sheeran and Example teaming up to write the iconic Nandos Skank.

“It cost £16.80 for two meals, 2010 was a big year for Nandos,” Livi told What’s The Jam.

“A relic, the same order, 14 and a half years later and it’s £16.60 more.”
Members of the public were left shocked by the price difference.

Rebecca said: “£3.20 change from a £20 what a blast from the past.”

Dani added: “Me and my husband went for our usual order the other day.
“Just not justifiable at that price, it’s not nice enough.”
Kieran James said: “But for context I had my first job in 2010 and was paid £3.64 an hour.”

One joked: “They need to bring back Eat Out to Help Out.”
Another added: “So weird to think you could eat for two with a £20 note.”
Nando’s has been approached for a comment.
