“Supplied new by HR Owen in October 1998 to a Mr Stanley, the 456 GTA was used sparingly by its first keeper – covering just 2, 498 miles by January 2000.
‘The car spent its early life being maintained by Ferrari main dealers, until 2007 it was then cared by various marque specialists.
‘Having been supplied by Furlonger on more than one occasion, this 456 GTA is well known to our sales and workshop team.
‘Present with this 456 is its original service book, handbooks, leather bookpack, spare key with red master fob and an extensive history folder containing numerous invoices, receipts, MOT certificates and more.”
It adds: “The 456 benefits from comprehensive service history and will be prepared in our workshops for its newest custodian.
“Originally penned by Pietro Camardella of Pininfarina, the 456 GT/ GTA featured a distinctive and elegant design.
“The 456 sits upon a tubular steel space-frame chassis with a one-piece carbon composite bonnet and body panels of aluminum.
“The 456’s name, like many of its predecessors, denotes the cubic displacement per cylinder.
“Equipped with a 5.5L V12 which is surprisingly derived from that of the Dino V6 rather than a conventional V12, the 456’s power plant produces an impressive 436hp and can reach a top speed of 192mph.”
