A brave ice maiden filmed herself smashing into a completely frozen lake for an invigorating dip, without so much as a shiver.
Zoe Naughalty swears by the benefits and “dopamine hits” of submerging yourself in sub-zero wild waters.
And she can crack through even the thickest ice – as she uses a metal kettlebell weight to break up the rime.

Keen ice-breaker Zoe travels Britain, seeking out the chilliest areas of wilderness.
And she found this lake in Llyn Cwm Llwch at the base of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales.
“It was the first ice smash of 2026,” Zoe, from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, told What’s The Jam.
“I am a keen wild swimmer. This is my fourth winter of doing it.
“Always chasing the next cold water dopamine hit.

“The rush you get from that ice smash is like nothing I have ever felt.
“I honestly felt high. Or maybe I was delirious from the cold.”
She added: “Winter swim season is well and truly here and it is every wild swimmers dream.

“Snow-capped mountains and an untouched frozen lake.
“But having lost my hammer last year, I improvised by taking a kettlebell.
“It is now my regular weapon of choice for smashing up frozen lakes.”
