Rare, sought-after Star Wars toys could fetch nearly £175,000

An auction of rare, sought-after Star Wars toys could fetch nearly £200,000.

One small Jawa figure alone is set to sell for £10,000.

It is part of a sale taking place next month.

There are 26 lots which are valued at over £1,000 each, and the entire auction is estimated to achieve between £127,000 and £172,000.

It includes a 3.5-inch-high vinyl-capped Jawa on SW 12B unpunched card, which has been given an estimate of £8,000 to £10,000.

A Special Action Figure Android set with figures of R2-D2, C3PO and Chewbacca is also in the auction and carries an estimate of £8,000.

And a model of Jabba’s Sail Barge, The Khettana, is expected to achieve between £3,000 and £4,000, as reported by What’s The Jam.

A spokesperson for Vectis Auctions said: “The auction includes a remarkable assortment of Star Wars memorabilia from Palitoy, Hasbro, Kenner, Lili Ledy, Sideshow, Gentle Giant, Disney and others.

“Collectors will find unpunched carded figures, graded loose and carded figures, loose and boxed vehicles, creatures and playsets, plus detailed drawings, blueprints, paperwork and posters, with Lego, Funko Pop! Bobble head figures, a large Boba Fett collection and much more.

“This auction is expected to attract a worldwide audience and see a multitude of bids on these sought-after lots.”

The auction is on 21 October, in Stockton-On-Tees, Co Durham.
