Shoppers have been left cringing after spotting a £1,490 ‘6 7’ Ralph Lauren jumper following a bizarre internet trend.
The designer brand has left fans reeling with many believing their latest products to be linked to a meme.
The knitted navy jumper has the numbers ‘6 7’ on the front in racing yellow.
The cotton and silk top was made in Italy and is now available for £1,490.
Those numbers have been part of a trend where kids sing out the digits whilst moving their hands up and down.
The meme started in the USA and quickly took the world by storm with youngsters across the globe confusing adults with their antics.
Shoppers online have now been left cringing by the jumper – claiming the fashion brand are trying to benefit from the trend.
However, a few eagle eyed punters believe it links to the year the business was founded – 1967, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Marie said: “Wait I’m so sorry, this is real?”
Evelyn added: “Just because of one random boy.”
Lyss said: “It’s wild because someone will buy this.”
Another said: “There’s no way.”
One added: “Ralph Lauren was founded in 1967.”
A spokesperson for Ralph Lauren said: “Spun in a half-cardigan stitch, this oversize roll neck jumper pays homage to Ralph Lauren’s inception with a bold intarsia-knit “67” on the front.
“Crafted in Italy, this style is made from a luxurious blend of ultra-soft cotton and brilliant silk, creating a precious, breathable fabric ideal for the warmer months.”
