Pub-loving peacocks have had their own special road crossing installed to stop them from getting run over.

The colourful birds often roam the grounds of the Hare and Hounds boozer.

They aren’t owned by the pub, but like to frequent the beer garden.

Others have been seen dicing with death on the busy road the pub is on, in Downend, near Newport, Isle of Wight.

The peacocks have also been seen in bus stops.

The bosses of the pub have put up a yellow sign reading ‘Peacock Crossing’ to warn drivers, as reported on What’s The Jam.
