An Only Fools and Horses superfan who watches the show every day has travelled more than 3,000 miles to visit its famous filming locations.

Jason Allen has spent the past year with one goal – to see every iconic spot from the beloved British comedy.

The sitcom, which made David Jason a household name as Derek “Del Boy” Trotter, is the 34-year-old’s favourite ever show.

Jason, a machine operator from Bristol, began his journey after spotting a few familiar areas from his hometown on screen.

After visiting the set of flats from the 1996 Christmas special Time on Our Hands, Jason was hooked.

That episode saw Del Boy and Rodney discover a valuable antique watch that sells for £6.2 million, finally making the Trotters millionaires.

In January 2025, Jason made a New Year’s resolution to travel the country, ticking off Only Fools and Horses locations.

Since then, he’s covered more than 3,000 miles, visiting London, Bristol, Ipswich, Margate, Salisbury and Dorset.

His adventures have included the Trotters’ flat, Boyce Autos & Car Accessories, and the Halfway House from the 1989 Christmas special Jolly Boys’ Outing.

Once he’s finished exploring the capital, Jason plans to travel abroad to visit the more exotic filming locations in Miami, Amsterdam and France.

Despite his girlfriend possibly thinking he’s a plonker, he’s already spent over £1,500 on fuel and train tickets to tick off the famous spots.

“My girlfriend would kill me – I’ve probably spent around £1,000 on fuel and £500 on tickets,” Jason told What’s The Jam.

“You often get funny looks and people ask you what you’re doing.

“So you tell them, and they can’t believe they’re living in a house that was used for Only Fools and Horses.

“They end up shaking your hand and giving you a hug.

“They also ask where they can see more of my work – when they no longer think I’m weird.

“People sometimes think you’re taking pictures of their cars to steal them or, if you’re on a main road, they think you’re checking their speed.

“I’ve been to hundreds of locations.

“I really enjoyed the Margate trip.

“It’s my favourite episode and was a really amazing day spent in the sun, drinking local cider.

“I watch the show every day.

“If I’m relaxing with a beer or looking for a new location shot to take a photo of.

“It never gets boring and it’ll never not be funny.

“If anything, it gets funnier.

“You always notice something new.”
