Morrisons has launched a brand-new fish and chip afternoon tea to celebrate National Fish & Chip Day.
The supermarket chain is serving up the £15 “Fish & Chip Afternoon Tea for Two” in cafés nationwide, replacing classic finger sandwiches with fish bites, scampi and chunky chips.
The limited-edition menu includes six fish bites, six scampi, bread and butter, chips, plus a choice of mushy peas or curry sauce, alongside two traditional fruit scones with jam and clotted cream, as reported by Need To Know.

The launch comes ahead of National Fish & Chip Day tomorrow (5 June), a celebration of one of the UK’s most iconic meals.
For those with bigger appetites, Morrisons has also introduced a “Giant Fish & Chips” dish, also priced at £15, featuring a large portion of fish served with chips and mushy peas.
Both dishes are available in all 343 Morrisons cafés across the UK from 1 June, while stocks last.

The retailer said the new offerings are designed to put a playful spin on the nation’s best-loved chippy tea, combining comfort food with a classic afternoon tea format.
Will Reed, senior buying manager at Morrisons Café, said: “National Fish & Chip Day is all about celebrating one of the nation’s best-loved meals, so we wanted to bring something big, fun and full of flavour to our cafés this summer.
