A rapidly expanding American coffee chain with more than 800 locations is exploring a launch in Britain.

Drive-thru brand 7 Brew is understood to be searching for potential UK sites as it considers expanding beyond its home market.

The business operates more than 800 drive-thru “stands” across 38 US states and says it serves more than one million drinks each day.

Its menu offers thousands of possible combinations spanning coffee, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies and shakes.

The chain takes its name from the seven original coffees sold when its first stand opened in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2017.

It has since become America’s second-largest drive-thru-only coffee chain behind Dutch Bros.

It is expected to open more than 400 locations during 2026 and had signed development agreements covering 3,100 prospective sites by the end of last year.

No British locations have been confirmed, and the chain has not announced a proposed opening date, as reported by What’s The Jam?.

The news was first shared by hospitality trade publication Propel.

Investment company Blackstone acquired a minority stake in the business in 2024 to support its continued expansion.

The company is led by chief executive John Davidson and operates through a franchise model.

Its potential UK move comes as the brand launches its first mobile app, allowing American customers to order ahead, customise drinks and collect reward points.

News of the possible arrival follows another American food brand preparing to make its British debut.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is opening its first UK restaurant in London’s Spitalfields Market, 2C Lamb Street.

The chain, which sells Maine-style lobster inside toasted rolls, is also considering opening between five and ten additional British restaurants within 15 to 18 months.

Mason’s operates around 45 US restaurants and has already expanded into Italy, with locations in Milan, Florence and Venice.

The London opening date and UK prices have yet to be confirmed.
