A luxury butchers have hiked the price of what could be the UK’s most expensive turkey – to over £380.
Punters looking for the finer things in life will have to cough up more with the costs up from last Christmas.
Previously sold for an eye-watering £363 – the luxury bird is now priced at a jaw-dropping £381.55.

The Woodland Bronze Turkey being flogged by C Lidgate is often considered the most expensive one on the market.

Brought up on ‘nettles, wild blackberries and freshly grown oats’ the animals are raised to achieve ‘optimum flavour and texture’.
Available in a variety of sizes, even a 2.5 to 3kg bird will set you back £85.19, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The heaviest option, a whopping 12.5 to 13kg behemoth is set at £381.55 and will be available from 20 Nov.
Tesco’s most expensive turkey – made for 18 people is on the market for £119.

Cheaper options include Morrisons 12 person portion set at £53.13.
Located in Holland Park, west London the Lidgate family butchers have been operating for 175 years.
Beef on sale through the shop is sourced from the royal Highgrove Estate.

A spokesperson for C Lidgate said: “These Free Range Woodland Bronze Turkeys feed on nettles, wild blackberries and freshly grown oats.
“They are a slow maturing bird for optimum flavour and texture.
“Due to their healthy outdoor existence, they will not look like ordinary hybrid ‘factory’ or mass produced birds.
“The free-range lifestyle results in black feather stubble, which will reduce during cooking and leave a skin renowned for its extra flavour and crispiness.”
