Louis Vuitton has been ridiculed for selling trainers for £885 that look like football astroturf boots.
The French fashion brand is selling them as part of its new spring-summer 2025 range.
But fans said that the football-inspired trainers just look like a cheap Sondico pair from Sports Direct for £27.99.

The LV Footprint Football Trainers are designed by singer Pharrell Williams – creative director of the fashion brand.
A spokesperson said: “Introduced at the Spring-Summer 2025 Show, the LV Footprint Football Trainers are the first football-inspired trainers designed by Pharrell Williams.
“The shoes, inspired by this well-known sport throughout different generations and cultures, perfectly echo the spirit of unifying and universality, representing the main theme of the Spring-Summer 2025 Show.
“They are distinguished by their streamlined design, accentuated by the dynamic LV Initials on the sides.
“The tongues sport the LVers United emblem inspired by football teams, while the rubber footprint outsoles feature an array of House signatures.”
They can be worn with a Flocked Damier Technical Tracksuit Top costing £2,230 and matching trousers for £1,700.
Plus £260 LV Strass Socks and a £2,530 Speedy 40 Bandoulière Bag – costing a total of £7,605, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Danny Beverley fumed: “Should just stick to music.”
Thomas Gornell added: “Wouldn’t wear them to put the bins out.”
Malcy Booden said: “These are absolutely woeful.”
Yet Nathan Lewey gushed: “Eleven-year-old me would have rocked them everywhere.”
Customers are told to clean them with a soft cloth and avoid getting them wet.
