They will be expected to work 37-and-a-half hours a week on a permanent basis.

It adds: “Supporting an Assistant Private Secretary, you’ll prioritise and manage requests, coordinate diaries, support meetings, manage travel arrangements and a high volume of calls and incoming correspondence.

“With exposure across the organisation, you’ll liaise daily at a senior level, building relationships with colleagues, government departments and external organisations.

“In this fast-paced and high-profile environment, you’ll handle a variety of tasks that require both independent initiative and exceptional teamwork.

“The role will involve spending up to four weeks per year working from other Royal residences and occasional ad hoc travel to support UK engagements or overseas visits.”

Applicants need relevant PA/secretarial experience, to be organised and have good diary management.

They will get 25 days annual leave to start with, an “excellent” pension plan and 20% in the shop.

Applications close on 2 February, as reported by What’s The Jam.
