A hugely popular American fast-food chain loved by celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Post Malone and Halle Berry is finally preparing to open its first UK restaurant.

Raising Cane’s, the cult chicken finger brand with a massive following across the United States, has taken another major step towards launching in Britain after branding appeared around its first UK site in central London.

The chain first confirmed plans to enter the UK in September 2025 and is expected to open its flagship restaurant later this year at 21-22 Coventry Street, between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.

The launch will mark Raising Cane’s first restaurant in the UK and the beginning of a wider European expansion.

The restaurant group has more than five million followers across social media and has become one of the fastest-growing fast-food brands in the US, as reported by Whats The Jam.

While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the appearance of Raising Cane’s branding around the London site suggests the long-awaited launch is edging closer.

And British food fans have been eagerly awaiting its arrival for some time.

When food lovers first caught wind back in 2025 that the expansion could be coming, they flocked to social media to share their thoughts.

In the Orlando Tips for Brits Facebook group, one excited fan wrote: “Omg I absolutely love Raising Cane’s.”

Another added: “Had this in Vegas. It was so good. Definitely on a par with Slim Chickens imo.”

A third said: “The sauce is next level. I will travel just for that.”

The chain’s famous Cane’s Sauce has become something of a phenomenon in America, with customers able to buy large portions rather than traditional dipping pots.

The menu itself is relatively simple compared with many rivals, focusing on a handful of core products including chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast and its signature sauce.

Raising Cane’s arrives as UK high streets continue to see an influx of major American food brands.

In recent years, chains including Popeyes, Dave’s Hot Chicken and Chick-fil-A have all announced expansion plans across Britain as competition in the fast-food market intensifies.

The London opening is expected to be just the first of several UK locations, with reports suggesting the company is also exploring sites around Oxford Circus, Paddington, South Bank, The Strand and potential drive-thru locations across Greater London and beyond.
