With the cost of living crisis still in full swing, the nation is searching for top deals as the festive season kicks off.
But the public may be left stunned at the cost of their Christmas Day dinners – with some turkeys costing upwards of £200.

One premium butcher has been spotted pricing their bird at an eye-watering £275.
Thomas Joseph Butchery has a herb-fed, free range turkey that is ready to ship to homes across the nation ahead of this year’s Christmas celebrations.
The animals are fed a nutritious diet and hung for ten days after being dry plucked to maximise the flavour of the meat.
The whopping 10kg turkey comes with 24 pigs in blankets, 2kg of sausage meat and a litre of chicken broth for the gravy.
The heavily-priced bird is £40 more expensive than Thomas Joseph Butchery’s price tag in 2022.

Back then, it cost £235.
The public may be turning their nose up at the butchers’ premium prices, but high-end supermarkets are also charging a pretty penny.
The most expensive turkey on the shelves at M&S sits at a whopping £145, with Waitrose flogging birds for as much as £140.

Even the nation’s go-to stores can be found charging a high price for their more premium range of turkeys.
Sainsbury’s has an eye-watering £101 turkey on its shelves this Christmas.
Tesco’s most expensive bird comes in at £40 or £35 for clubcard members, as reported by What’s The Jam.
A Morrisons bird is selling for £38, weighing 2.3kg and being available to buy from the 20 December.
Whilst ASDA’s most expensive turkey is a £34 frozen crown that weighs just under 2kg.
According to Kantar, groceries across the UK have seen an increase in inflation for the first time since March 2023.
The inflation rate hit 1.8% in August, up from 1.6% in July.
