Stone Island has been mocked after selling a new £245 shirt for five-year-olds.

The fashion brand has been adopted by football hooligans.

The expensive clothing is renowned for having its logo on a sleeve badge.

As part of its new autumn range, it is selling a green over-shirt for children.

The smallest size is for kids who are one metre four centimetres tall.

The average height for a four-year-old child is one metre one centimetre

For five-year-olds it is one metre eight centimetres.

A Stone Island spokesperson said: “Natural shades, alluding to wood and trees, are combined with brighter accents of colour inspired by classic ski uniforms.

Customers were quick to poke fun at the youth clobber, What’s The Jam

One said: “When you’ve got non-school uniform day at at 9am and Millwall away at 4pm.”

Nicholas Wilson joked: “In case it kicks off in the soft play area.”

Jim Leaf added: “In case it goes off at Build-A-Bear.”
