A foolhardy content creator has fallen foul of icy roads after bravely riding his motorbike to work on his first day back.
Sammy Farrow, whose bike was totally coated in snow, shared a video of his first post-Christmas commute after the UK was hit by a massive cold front.
Temperatures in some places, such as Cumbria, have slumped to -10C this week, the Met Office reports – and Sammy admitted his choice of transport was “sketchy”.

“I was a little surprised by the snow, but I’m used to riding in harsh weather, so I thought I’d give it a shot,” Sammy told What’s The Jam.
The 28-year-old from Cambridgeshire shared a clip on social media of him brushing the snow off his bike, warming up the engine and hopping on.
But after cautiously riding out along treacherous main roads, Sammy falls off in slow motion as his hog’s engine wipes out.
However, after a few more slips and slides, Sammy was able to somehow overcome the scary conditions and get to work.
Sammy said: “It felt sketchy, I was a little more focused than usual, but very very cold.

“I had no reaction when I came off, as I was basically expecting it.
“Once I got to work, I laughed about it!”
The machining technician shared the video of his eventful commute online, and it was viewed over 1.6m times, with 67,600 likes and 1,727 comments.

One person said: “The slow-motion falls are always so funny when they happen.”
Another user added: “Ahhh man, you’re braver than me going out on that in this.”
A user said: “Ykw [you know what] mad respect, bro has crash protection bike cold starts easily, he rides safe and slow frankly not much to be done about ice on the road – oh, and he just picks it up like it weighs 140kg.”
One person added: “Hell of a way to start the day bud.”
Kiran asked: “Why don’t you keep the bike inside? No covered parking available?”
Sammy replied to the comment, saying: “Nope, no covered parking, used to use a cover but I’d get back from a ride and would p*** me off trying to put it on in a wind/rain storm and stuff so I just gave up, she’s been fine.”
The video was filmed on Monday (5 January).
